Indications:
Rehydration and restoration of fluid and electrolyte balance when there is loss of fluid and chloride ions, sodium, potassium and calcium and prophylaxis and treatment of metabolic acidosis.
Contraindications:
The Ringer lactate solution is contraindicated for patients with lactic acidosis, metabolic alkalosis, hypernatremia, hypercalcemia, hyperkalemia, hyperchloremia and injury of hepatocytes with abnormal lactate metabolism and patients with renal insufficiency or heart.
